Tom Wilson is a drama teacher with some 15 years experience at various levels in the industry.
A new beginners adult drama group is starting in York for people of all stages and ages (over 16 of course)
We will be doing
Movement
Acting skills
Role Playing
Scene surgery
Audition workshops
and voice practices and song
It will be open and easy going to start with but it will get more challenging and you will learn a great deal. The main thing is you will get to meet new people and have fun.
Excellent chance to get some experience and build confidence/self esteem - also serves as a refresher for those who have been out of the loop a while and want to ease themselves back into contention for work.
Come along and try it out with no obligation. You do not have to book for an entire term. You don\'t even have to audition.
The first session starts on 23rd JUNE WEDNESDAY
If a few others need more advanced training we will set up another session to run along side it on a TUESDAY night.
Both sessions 7:30 til 9:30
Tea and coffee facilities are there. Post code is YO24 3BR
The first term sessions will be £3 per hour (two hour slots)

ActUpNorth Acting Academy opened its doors in Leeds in 2009 teaching both Adults and Young People modern acting techniques for TV, Film, Theatre & Radio.
Having had huge success we are looking forward to offering classes in early 2010 to students in Liverpool & Manchester.
The classes will deal with a range of subjects and we will work on current TV scripts or scripts from prgrammes currently being made.
Students will also have the chance to work with HD Cameras and watch their work back on Screen.
On top of our usual tutors we are pleased to work alongside professional TV Directors, Producers, Agents and Casting Directors.
We have worked alongside professionals from programmes such as 'Red Reding', 'The Bill', 'Emmerdale', 'Coronation Street', 'Hollyoaks' and 'The Royal'.
Many of our students have gone on to gain representation with reputable agents and audition for main roles in various projects. Many of our students have enjoyed recent work on various professional TV & Theatre projects.
